Dell XPS laptop no power repair

Had the pleasure of working on a beautiful Dell XPS laptop, unfortunately it no longer powered on

the symptoms were when plugging in the Power supply / laptop Charger the light went out, this points to a short on the motherboard

after dismantling the laptop and checking the motherboard for obvious signs of failure, we found a blown mosfet, now your average mosfet size is around 8mm x 8mm with 8 or 6 pins to solder, these mosfets were 3mm x 3mm with 8 joints to solder as you can see from the picture compared to a penny they look very small, so i should really call this micro soldering

once the 2 mosfets were changed then tested for any other shorts to system found a shorted capacitor on the battery charging, so also replaced this

added a new Dc jack and as good as new
